reading printed books. In fact, I had not read a book in years. Then I bought a Kindle to see how my book "21st Century Common Sense" appeared on the Kindle screen. What a surprise, there was no eyestrain when reading the book on the Kindle. That was three months and 15 books ago. I even reread "Atlas Shrugged". Thank you, Amazon, because of Kindle, reading is enjoyable again. TOBY |

LIBERTY V/S TYRANNY" The book is best described as Thomas Paine content with Dr. Seuss format. A collection of 33 articles with 79 outrageous illustrations; it’s “sugar coated” common sense. The subject of the articles is the conflict between the Tea Party and the Tyrant, and the operation of the bureaucracy that enforces the Tyrant’s oppression. It is both tedious and difficult to explain and clarify complicated subjects with text alone. The illustrations, many with a humorous tone, clarify and drive home the full meaning of the text and make what could be a tedious and dry experience quite enjoyable. . The illustrations offer a great way to aggravate your “liberal” friends that can’t be done with text alone. With the Kindle Edition loaded into your Blackberry or smart phone, you can show the illustrations to your friends, anywhere. Illustrations are in color or grey scale depending on the device you are using. |

“ATLAS SHRUGGED” – WORTH READING AGAIN! “ATLAS SHRUGGED” by Ayn Rand was published in 1957 and I read it shortly after it was published. Over the years I read it several more times, the last time in early 2000. Recently, I bought a copy for my Kindle and started reading it again. A 50+ year love affair with a book? Today, I am enjoying “ATLAS SHRUGGED” even more than the first time I read it. It is almost like reading today’s headlines as it relates laws being passed to inhibit the production of wealth and reward political cronies. Obama administration has both proven the validity and strengthened Ayn Rand’s message. Even though it was written 50+ years ago, “ATLAS SHRUGGED” exposes the fallacies of the Obama initiatives and predicts the resulting disasters. Give yourself a treat. Read “ATLAS SHRUGGED” again, slowly this time and ponder the message. If you haven’t read it, I envy you, a joyous experience awaits you. Ayn Rand was a brilliant woman. Her works deserve your continued study; they will enhance your life.

The Star-Spangled Banner Francis Scott Key O! say can you see by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming, Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight, O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming? And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there; O! say does that star-spangled banner yet wave, O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep, Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes, What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep, As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam, In full glory reflected now shines in the stream: 'Tis the star-spangled banner, O! long may it wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave. And where is that band who so vauntingly swore That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion, A home and a country should leave us no more! Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution. No refuge could save the hireling and slave From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave: And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave. O! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand Between their loved home and the war's desolation! Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation. Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust." And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave! |

"21st CENTURY COMMON SENSE”Revised 1/5/2012 A tribute to the American Revolution and a recipe to regain our freedom and prosperity Our forefathers fought the Revolutionary War to rid our nation of the oppression of King George III. Now politicians have established a new form of tyranny, cronyism. Both the American Revolution and our freedom are in peril. The danger is as great today as it was when George Washington's troops crossed the Delaware River on Christmas Eve in 1776. "21st CENTURY COMMON SENSE” analyzes five of the tyrant's "showcase programs", some over 100 years old. The poverty and despair caused by these programs is illustrated and proven. These "showcase programs" have been used to punish political dissent, extort political support and reward political cronies. The final chapter identifies the greatest danger to the American Revolution and provides the recipe to regain our freedom and prosperity. The major change in the 1/05/2012 revision is the addition of over 40 illustrations (52 total). The illustrations bring the text to life and increase the reader’s enjoyment. If you don’t have time to read the book, at least read the book’s PROLOGUE & EPILOGUE, 2 TEXT PAGES & 12 illustrations and only 460 words it will give you a new prospective on Cronyism! Besides, it is a fun read. CLICK ON THIS TEXT TO READ THE PROLOGUE & EPILOGUE WITH 12 ILLUSTRATIONS. |

3/8/2012 “AN ACT OF GOD?” The cronies’ strategy to win the 2012 election is to select both the Republican and Democratic nominee thus making the results of the election irrelevant. Without a doubt Mr. Romney is the cronies’ candidate for the Republican nomination. If the cronies win the 2012 election, American Revolution is doomed. Romney campaign says it would take 'act of God' for Romney to lose nomination An act of God? During the War of 1812, the English burned the White House and were destroying our Capital. A terrible storm fell on Washington DC, killing many British troops & caused them to evacuate our city. An extreme heat wave followed the storm causing many deaths of British troops due to heat prostration during the British march. Was this an “Act of God” or just blind luck? There have been many of these “Acts of God” that have preserved the American Revolution throughout our history. The nomination of Mr. Romney would be the end of the American Revolution. Perhaps, God will act again to save the Republic. In the interim, Mr. Romney should avoid thunder storms. |

3/21/2012 BOOK REVIEW – “PRINCIPLED ACTION” This book is absolutely the best listing and explanation of the principles that the Founding Fathers used to create our Constitution. It explains how the text was created and exactly what that text means. Most interesting are the compromises the Founding Fathers were forced to make on the Slavery issue in order to create the Constitution and found the nation. Mr. Best states that the purpose of the Constitution was to limit the powers of the government, thus protecting the individual from oppression. After enumerating and explaining the principles in the text of the Constitution, the author explicates actions of the wannabe tyrants to corrupt and change the meaning of the Constitution to support the illegitimate usurpation of power. If you haven’t read Mr. Best other book “Tempest at Dawn,” read this “Principled Action” first. ”Tempest at Dawn” will be more enjoyable. What happened when wannabe tyrants usurp the power prohibited by the constitution, read “21st Century Common Sense.” |

4/10/2012 PRESIDENT ATTACKS THE CONSTITUTION & THE SUPREME COURT Were you surprised when President Obama denounced the Constitution and the Supreme Court? Perhaps you missed Mr. Obama’s earlier announcement?
Congress that he would not enforce the laws with which he disagreed. He issues executive orders instead of requesting Congressional action. Thus, Mr. Obama has declared himself a Dictator! Is anyone listening? A Dictator does not allow interference from the other branches of government doesn’t need the approval of Congress! Dictators don’t resign and dictators don’t allow free elections! Now, President Obama denounces both the Constitution and the Supreme Court. The Constitution is the individual's only protection from the tyrant. When a politician attacks the Constitution his motives are clear! |
