"THE TEA PARTY & THE TYRANT
LIBERTY V/S TYRANNY"
By Judith W. Grandy (Yorktown, Va. USA) -
This review is from: THE TEA PARTY & THE TYRANT LIBERTY V/S TYRANNY (Kindle Edition)
I really enjoyed this thoughtful collection of essays about the conflict between the Tea Party and the tyrant. I found them to be
very logical and enlightening treatises on the recent news and progress of the tyrant's agenda. However, this book does
distinguish itself from the multitude of books written on this subject with a mass of illustrations that reinforce the text and greatly
added to my understanding-not to mention a lot of chuckles! With this Kindle loaded onto my i-phone, I can flash the illustrations
to my Liberal friends and enjoy their reaction. But I won't forget to duck! Oh, by the way, be sure to read the final essay. It's a
fictional account of the bureaucracy persecuting individuals, rewarding a political crony, and stifling innovation. It left me with no
doubt that the bureaucracy is the handmaiden of tyrants and must be disabled before the economy can ever hope to recover. It's
more than worth the price of the book.
The Tea Party & The Tyrant: Liberty v/s Tyranny
Felton (Toby) Williamson, Jr. CreateSpace (2011) ISBN 9781463560492
Reviewed by Kam Aures for Rebecca‟s Reads (06/11)

“The Tea Party & The Tyrant  Liberty v/s Tyranny” by Felton (Toby) Williamson, Jr is a compilation of 33 articles and 79 illustrations.
As the author declares, the book has Thomas Paine content presented with a Dr. Seuss format.

In the foreword to the book, Williamson explains that the book “is an attempt to provide a different format that helps the reader
to understand a complete meaning and the full implications of complicated text, all with a very enjoyable format.” (Foreword) The
articles in the book came from the commonsense21c.com website. He took 33 posts and edited them, adding the illustrations to
help the reader better understand and to provide enjoyment to the reader.

The content of “The Tea Party & The Tyrant: Liberty v/s Tyranny” has a very “on the soapbox” type feel to it. While it is clear which
“side” the author is on on the issues he does present some very thought-provoking points. I think that those who agree with
Williamson will definitely enjoy his writings. Those who are on the opposite side of the fence may not feel the same way.
Williamson, however, is quite aware of this, and even says in the book that “The illustrations can be used to aggravate self-
righteous „Progressives‟ and wannabe Tyrants …” (Foreword).

In the politically charged climate in which we live, I could see some people getting quite fired up after reading “The Tea Party &
The Tyrant: Liberty v/s Tyranny.” I think that it will be quite controversial, but that appears to be Williamson’s point as the style in
which he wrote the book is quite conducive to controversy.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent snapshot of the Tea Party's social, cultural, and fiscal outlook on contemporary politics, August 7,

Tyranny: In the Cause of Freedom-33 Articles With 79 Outrageous Illustrations (Paperback)

Enhanced with humorous black-and-white cartoons symbolizing the struggle between "liberty" and "tyranny" on virtually every
page, The Tea Party & the Tyrant: Liberty vs. Tyranny is a compilation of thirty-three brief articles encapsulating the talking points
of America's Tea Party movement. Severely critical of President Barack Obama and his political decisions, which are accused of
paving the way to tyranny or even Nazi-like fascism, The Tea Party & the Tyrant runs down a long list of hot-button social issues,
from gun control to marriage and family values to thorny economic issues. So many modern problems are covered that The Tea
Party & the Tyrant cannot focus in-depth upon any of them, but as a whole it provides an excellent snapshot of the Tea Party's
social, cultural, and fiscal outlook on contemporary politics.

"THE TEA PARTY & THE TYRANT  LIBERTY V/S TYRANNY"
The book is best described as Thomas Paine content with Dr. Seuss format.  A collection of 33 articles with 79 outrageous
illustrations; it’s “sugar coated” common sense.   The subject of the articles is the conflict between the Tea Party and the
Tyrant, and the operation of the bureaucracy that enforces the Tyrant’s oppression.

It is both tedious and difficult to explain and clarify complicated subjects with text alone.  The illustrations, many with a
humorous tone, clarify and drive home the full meaning of the text and make what could be a tedious and dry experience
quite enjoyable.  .   The illustrations offer a great way to aggravate your “liberal” friends that can’t be done with text alone.
With the Kindle Edition loaded into your Blackberry or smart phone, you can show the illustrations to your friends,
    anywhere.

The final article “A Toby’s Fable: EGGS INC, the Farmer and the Bureaucracy” is more than worth the price of the book.
